AquaHot question

When I first hit the switch to turn on Diesel with the AH, the green light momentarily flickers, then goes off.  I then recycle the switch, and it turns on the blower and burner normally.  Anyone know what's going on?
Thanks, Mike

Rudy always said service it if it hasn't been for a while.  That usually seems to fix it.

My guess is your control box is starting to fail

Mike,  The light inside is controlled by the Control Unit mounted on the side of the burner in the heater.  The CU turns on the light inside in response to a 12 vdc signal from that switch.

So, if that signal goes on and then off (switch problem) the CU will turn the inside light on andback off.  But if you have the switch on and no light inside, then we need to troubleshoot the signal to and from the CU.  To do this, have a Volt Ohm Meter set to VDC and have the CU slid off the burner and turned up so you can probe the back of the plugs with the meter probe.  I like to have the other meter probe connected to ground with a jumper wire so I have two hands for the checking.

Having said all that, your description of the situation seems to be switch problem vs CU problem.  Hope so as that is a much less expensive fix.  Steve's suggestion is the more expensive fix.

Call me if you need assistance.
