Transmission retarder found a part

Today I was removing the hydraulic hose from the Allison transmission to the retarder after all the transmission oil  run out I  put floor dry to clean the oil and I found this rubber looking part.  It look  like a plunger and I think it came out of the hose on the retarder side of the hose ?? Since I  hadn't removed the hose on the transmission side  or maybe it was just mixed up in the floor dry has anyone ever seen this part
