Basement floor pass thru vents

I had reworded my three vents and propane pass thru when I replaced my fuel lines. Turned a blind eye to the other vents till now they all visually looked fine, BUT they all had failed to some degree. The six other pass thru are for Aquahot exhaust, drain valve, and area drain below pumps. The other three were below the house batteries, on my coach they are also fuel overfill drains. Easy to check from outside of coach. Press on surrounding fiberglass for delamination. By "hand" see if pass thru fitting is loose. The propane and Aquahot drain IMO are failed from the factory installation because it has blue foam exposed to the elements. All of the RTV used during installation has lost its adhesive qualities. This may not be a problem for you but eventually water will get inside of these panels and between freeze damage and corrosion it opens the door to floor failure. The screens on top of the 3" fitting was pre assembled and the top is captured by the floor but was never sealed

Please keep us posted on what fix you decided to apply to the failed openings.

Only took several minutes to clean. Reattached screen  with RTV157 will also install with same later today. Also flatted out flange on exhaust tube to set lower to floor. Was 3/16 above floor with flange tapered up  now 1/16

For Aquahot drain cut 1" pvc coupler down size to fit were the black electrical fitting were used. This will seal top to bottom and hang out the similar as the other drains left a little hat on top to prevent falling thru should be near flush when finished

Even worse, the foam will melt in the presence of diesel.

Yep way better to get ahead of it than spend a bunch of time and money catching up later.

So finished all pass thru vents and did battery bay/ fuel overflow vents because they too needed attention. Muffler flange flattened and 3m waterproofing tape applied around edge of area. Area should act like a water pan and prevent any fluid going anywhere but out. RTV157 applied at all joints and under coach around all extrusions below. Aqua hot drain hole now one piece pvc similar to other vents. Zero foam exposed now or in the future.
