HWH level light won't stay on

I have a 2000 U320 single slide unit. My HWH auto level works fine but the red level light started going off as soon as I shut the ignition key. It has always stayed on red flickering. And it has acted wired a few times with lot's of light's staying on until I turn off the system. Any ideas or has anyone experienced this issue? Also my dash air supply gauges register up or down with the aux compressor but that has been acting weird lately. Instead of running for a few minutes to air up it will run 30 seconds shutdown for 3 min run 30 seconds etc until it reaches 90 psi or so and stops until it needs more air in about 8 hours or so. Any idea's will be appreciated.

Primarily responding to bump this topic for visibility for the OP.

I recall in our 2003, the front (tank) gauges responding to the aux compressor running was an indication of a leaking or failed check valve or solenoid valve.  In that model year, the only way to intentionally air up the main tanks with the aux compressor was to use the "air tank" switch, but I didn't think previous years had that option.

Sounds like you several things that are causing problems.
1. This could be a bad sensor for the slide locks or a failing microprocessor
2. This sure sounds like there is a problem with the microprocessor or a bad/cold solder joint.
3. The HWH compressor could have run beyond it's high temp cut out too many times.  This can cause the over temp  to loose it's set on the bimetal strip causing the compressor to short cycle.
