running lights and dash lights out

Went to take to mechanic in the dark this morning and only lights I have are headlights. All outside lights and dash lights are out. I replaced headlight switch last year and fixed the dash lights. Do you suppose it's bad again? Everything is plugged in to the switch. what is the big plastic unit behind switch? I'll get a picture soon or should I just replace the switch again? I can't remember how to get the shaft out of it to remove the switch
Thanks

Found it!!! The red wire going into the block behind switch had come loose from it's slot. I'll trim it and squeeze it back together and tape it today. Sorry for the post

First corollary to Ockham's razor: "check first the serviceability of last item thou'st fu@$'ed with"!!!! Perhaps the most applicable to our awesome rides.  At least in my case.  🤣. Woody.
