Javelina AUDIT Monitor 2U9 Fresh/Gray/Black Tank Readings Blank

While dry camping at Quartzsite last week, we had problems with the coach batteries (3 Lifeline 8D ~ 3 yrs old).  Batteries were fully charged when we went to bed and when we got up the next morning the batteries were reading 12.5 volts.  Turned on the inverter to start the gas cooktop to make coffee.  Turned off the inverter when the cooktop was fired up.  Later turned on the inverter to start the other cooktop burner and the ProSine Control Panel lit up like a Xmas tree, lights flashing all over the place.  Quickly turned off the inverter.  Turned on the JVC monitor to read the battery charge.  Showed 10.4 volts!!  Noted that the black/gray/fresh tank readings were not displaying.  Later we checked the coach batteries and determined that at least one battery would not hold a charge.  Hoping that the power surge or whatever you want to call it did not damage the JVC, but it just needs to be recalibrated.  The drawing (see atch) shows a momentary switch that would facilitate shorting PIN 15 which is required to recalibrate.  Q1:  Is the JVC tank monitoring system in one unit or does it consist of two parts, the monitor and the computer?  Q2:  If two parts, where is the computer part located?  I looked behind the dash access panel near the entry door, but didn't see anything but wires.

The video screen head is just a combo display with multiple feeds (Audit plus rear camera)

Dash Monitor Display Question  for the location of the Javalina tank monitor computer head in a 2002-2005 era coach (floor of curved dash cabinet with "some disassembly required")

Recalibration is a tad involved since you must do all 3 tanks at the same time, and you must fill all to max then empty all (or vice-versa) to set the calibration limits.

These are not available and are not supported by the manufacturer at all (bad blood with Foretravel)

This may be an excellent opportunity to upgrade to a SeeLevel system...

On mine, the computer is located under the floor of the front center dash storage compartment.

You may or may not have a momentary switch.  I had to add one.  There was a wire to the pin but it was not connected to anything.  If you find the wire, you can momentarily ground it and don't need to add a switch but it is a good idea.  You don't want the wire just hanging around.  Be sure to label the switch for you or future owners.

My wire was located behind the right front vertical panel with the self-resetting CBs.  I followed it from the computer connector to find the end.

There is a post here on the forum that tells you how to recalibrate the system.

Thanks for the help.  I'll start by removing the floor board to dash cabinet and hope it's there.  Done this several times.  Will look into the SeeLevel system.  My back up camera needs replacing since I can hardly see the toad when traveling -- depends on the angle of the sun.

Instead of disassembling the front dash, I checked my photos and sure enough I had pictures of the last time I took the dash apart.  :)  Need help in identifying the AUDIT computer box.  See attached pictures.

I don't think so.  I think it is the bigger silver one in the back.  Trace the wires back to the monitor.

The one in front may be your generator auto start box.  I don't see the wires I would expect to be going to the monitor but it just may be the camera angle.

The third picture shows the area where I trace the grounding wire and found it hanging.

The small silver box with the DIP switches on it is likely the generator autostart controller as shown in the following topic:

Automatic Generator Start Module- Where is it and is it adjustable?
