Javelina AUDIT Monitor 2U9 Fresh/Gray/Black Tank Readings Blank
While dry camping at Quartzsite last week, we had problems with the coach batteries (3 Lifeline 8D ~ 3 yrs old). Batteries were fully charged when we went to bed and when we got up the next morning the batteries were reading 12.5 volts. Turned on the inverter to start the gas cooktop to make coffee. Turned off the inverter when the cooktop was fired up. Later turned on the inverter to start the other cooktop burner and the ProSine Control Panel lit up like a Xmas tree, lights flashing all over the place. Quickly turned off the inverter. Turned on the JVC monitor to read the battery charge. Showed 10.4 volts!! Noted that the black/gray/fresh tank readings were not displaying. Later we checked the coach batteries and determined that at least one battery would not hold a charge. Hoping that the power surge or whatever you want to call it did not damage the JVC, but it just needs to be recalibrated. The drawing (see atch) shows a momentary switch that would facilitate shorting PIN 15 which is required to recalibrate. Q1: Is the JVC tank monitoring system in one unit or does it consist of two parts, the monitor and the computer? Q2: If two parts, where is the computer part located? I looked behind the dash access panel near the entry door, but didn't see anything but wires.
