Water leak after Texas freeze

Powered up the fresh water pump and found the inline value leaking from the freeze. Assume easy to fix and replace. Anything I should know?

It's a 12V valve, which can be hard to find these days (newer sprinkler systems are 24V).  You may need to harvest the solenoid and transplant it.

Mike R may have a better valve suggestion...

The last one of those that I had to replace I had to go with something like this:
SparkFun 12V Solenoid Valve - 3/4": Industrial Solenoid Valves: Amazon.com:...

The old style like the one in the the pics. are NLA. The new ones have a different bore for the coil so robing the old coil and using it on a new valve won't work .

with the 3/4 you won't have the restriction that you have in the 1/2"
Nigel, you might want to think about taking the gray pipe out and replace with pex--my experience with the gray--it is a leak waiting to happen!

I used the SparkFun solenoid valve, it works fine. It has a built in screen so it cn get clogged up but the screen protects the valve.  Good idea to use a particulate filter for all incoming water.

This valve takes no power to stay open. 12v opens the valve, power is shut off but monitored, a capacitor charges when 12 volts is turned off, the capacitor turns the motor to close.  Cheaper in brass or 1/2" sizes.  Make sure to get the 2 wire version.
