Comfort Control kaput

Went to run generator with a/c's on, to exercise the system. The Comfort Control, which has ALWAYS WORKED, won't light up. I looked for fuse, but am at a loss. It's starting to get warm here, in Mexico.
HELP!!!!

Glenn,

I had a similar issue and found the switch on the underside of the Comfort Control was in the off position.

I had the solder, on the back on the circuit board, around the on/off switch break, which made the ac shut off sometimes.

Try wiggling the switch to see if that helps

There is a 3 amp fuse in the upper circuit board in both ac's.

The problem was noticed as I switched from "off" to "on" and it didn't light up
I wiggled the switch
What does the fuses on the a/c have to do with the Control box?
The control box runs power to the the a/c units, the heat pumps AND Aqua Hot
Where does it get its power?
Where is THAT fuse?
Where should I go for help with this issue?

There is a 12 volts wire that hooks up to the ac which puts 12 volts to the circuit boards 3 amp fuse. The cable from the front ac to the comfort control brings the 12 volts to the comfort control. You need to check the 2 telephone connections in the front ac and the one at the rear ac they can be accessed by removing the inside filter.

My problem is not the a/c firing up
My problem is the Control doesn't light up when I switch to "on"
That is how the menu comes up for heat, fan, cool, etc
There has to be 12 v to this unit
It may have a fuse, relay??
How do I get the cover off without breaking it?
Where does the power to the Comfort Control come from?
I need to see if the unit is getting power
The a/c's are a different issue. They were working fine

The control snaps into the wall bracket.  There is one RJ-8 phone wire plugged into the back of it,  That wire should have 12 volts across the red and black ( if memory serves me).  The voltage is switched in the control and sent back to the A/Cs and heater for function.  Their is  a fuse on the A/C board that sounds to be blown causing the 12 volts to be lost.  I think it is a 3 amp but not sure.

Red Tractor is correct.  The 2 wires behind the A/C filter are a good place to check.  I use a volt ohm meter and an old telephone jack to check voltage.

Good Luck!

My use of a multimeter is basic, and I have a lot to learn. I have no idea of how to trace power in the telephone connectors. I certainly don't have an old connector with me, here in Mexico.
I got up on the roof, and accessed the control board. The three amp fuse was fine, just as I expected.
I took a look at the two phone line connections at the front a/c, as suggested.
First, I vacuumed a little dust around them. Then I pulled out one clip, just to see if I could even guess which one was black or red. No way.
However.......some dirt/dust DID drop out of the connector. I tapped it out, and, lo and behold......
I now have a lit up control showing my different modes.
Thanks for your input.
Maybe I can get some sleep tonight.

The connectors get a little corrosion and when you took them apart and put back together it wiped it clean so it could work.
