Coach Steps Rebuilt with Step Box and First Step Elevated Modification

Rebuilt the steps due to the first step becoming soft with the help of a friend. 1/4 solid surface (same as originally used in coach) was used on the stair sides and back at the cylinder, added a stepbox to the second step, raised the first step (using 3/16 x 1/2 black aluminum angle) so water could run down the wet frame entrance door without immersing the first step every time the coach was exposed to water. Metal sheet was run underneath the first two steps and sealed, three layers of plywood were used to build up the first step and sealed, treated 2x4 was run underneath the bottom of the frame and sealed, three angle brackets were placed under the first step @ where the first and second steps meet and sealed. That's nice work! I rebuilt my lower step and sides with 1/8 inch aluminum plate that I glued and screwed above the rot. Used 1 inch aluminum angle to support the bottom step and sealed all with caulking. Put original step pads back on. No more rot and not very hard to do. I like yours better but I'm better with metal than wood. Wish I had took photos.
