In line 12 volt fuse

While wiring SeeLevel tank monitoring system I shorted my basement light circuit picking up power for it. Can't find a fuse for it. No downstairs lights in any compartment. All good fuses in the panels under the bed. Is there an inline fuse or another fuse panel somewhere I'm unaware of?

Since your coach is newer, might not be the same as ours, but give this a try.

Look in your big central storage bay for a panel on the wall.  It will have a white fiberglass cover secured by two nuts.  If you have this panel, then the post linked below contains a photo that shows what to look for:

The small circuit breakers are manual resettable.  A little black pin pops out the side when they open.  Push the pin back in to reset.

Look at the foot of the bed, there are two black covers with 12v automotive fuses behind them for most lighting circuits.

Checked all those. Going down to look for Chuck's suggestion now. Does seem like you'd know about that if it was there being our coaches so similar. Guess I'll start swapping out the under bed ones next. Could be a bad one that doesn't look like it. Unlikely.

Easy to test blade type fuses without removing them.  Set your multimeter to "continuity" so it makes a test tone when the lead probes are touched together.  Stick one lead probe in each of the test holes on the fuse.

If you get a tone - fuse is good.  No tone - fuse is bad.

If you have drawing B-2126 "Automotive Wiring Diagram" for your coach, it should indicate the location of the storage bay lights fuse/breaker.

Chuck, you are wise. Bunch of little 12v breakers under there. It's nice to know about them now. Added plus was it reminded me I wanted to put an in line switch on the auxiliary air pump. There it was, right in front of me, disconnected and useless.

If you are adding a switch to turn on/off the power to the aux compressor it should be +12v power line to the Essex relay not in the +12v line to the compressor.

Or in the control line from the pressure switch to the Essex relay.

Access to this forum is the main thing that lets me own my coach. Thanks for the tip on switch placement Roger. I think that's the line I was looking at but will be sure now.
