There really is a Cable Chase!!

Not that I ever doubted Brett Wolfe (he has been talking about using the hollow roof corner aluminum extrusion as a chase for years), but I had looked and looked  for access into it and had not  found it.

I had found one of the vented 'button's into it but it was on the passenger side. (My rear TV is on the driver's side).
I knew where the hole was by the TV but had not located an access forward until yesterday.

I finally decided to take a few things apart  to see what was behind the panels in the cabinet above the driver.
There is a wire chase just behind the driver's chair that extends from floor to ceiling. My coach has wood paneling on the inside of the cabinet covering the chase and running forward to the forward bulkhead. Picture #1 shows the junction of panels 1&2 and the hole into the roof extrusion just behind.

I had previously found the access hole in the rear TV cabinet behind the closet wall. Since some of the closet framing was covering a portion of it,  I had to enlarge the hole to have enough space for the snake and then the cable. Picture #2.

As an aside, you can see that replacing the 13" Panasonic was really straight forward. A pair of right angle brackets.

Now to see if I can get my H25 receiver (connected in the house via SWM) to talk multi-switch to my Trav'lr.

ThankYou!
Everyone said that there was a cable chase on these coaches but I could not find as well.....
Sure wish that I'd known when I made the mistake of letting Camping World install the HDMI's for the satellite.
Oh whell what's done is done.

I am in the process of running cables (cat6) to the rear tv. Can anyone tell me by the picture included if this is the cable chase access and if so how do you get into it

That round cover looks like the cover for the air horn fittings. The vertical panel that is visible in the pic is the one that is Velcro in and comes off.

Probably not.  More likely access to a roof connection.  Access to the cable chase in the front is in front of the ends of the side cabinets.  It is in the space forward of the vertical panel inside of the windshield and above the horizontal panel.  On the pass side it comes out past the end wall of the rear overhead cabinet to access it ahead of the rear wahh use a hols saw ah cut into the chase and pull the wires out.  On my coach there are holes on the chase near the BR TV.

there are several of these covers along the ceiling on the drivers side. So from your pictures the chase actually is located ON the side walls and not the ceiling.
I will investigate further.    I was just going to run the cat 6 cables under the false carpeted side wal covered but ran into a roadblock with the fridge being in the way...

Minor detail! Just pick the fridge up with one hand, run the cable with the other hand, and set the fridge back down. <grin>

If all else fails, do you have some spare electrical wires running from dash to engine? Could you use one of those to pull your cable one way or the other?

Good answer!!  Not sure about the cable to the engine...
So while I am at it, there is a cable tv outlet located on the passenger side 1st bay along with a power outlet. I would also like to string a cat6 cable from the overhead to that point to wire a bay tv.  Does anyone know where that cable threads from and whether I could "attach and pull" the cat 6 through with the cable???
