Progressive Dynamics PD52V goes bad in 8 months ???

We had our original Transfer Switch replaced just 8 months ago... today while de-winterizing the 86 Grand Villa we heard the " bump" of the switch under the bed after the generator was running well for a few minutes.... we lost 120v power intermittently... another couple of " bumps" of the switch and than lost the power completely.... generator starts up well but of course runs at a higher RPM now with out any 120v loads

We will follow up with a warranty for the commercial installation and of course Progressive Dynamics.'
Any thing we need to look for.... we have been starting up the coach and generator adding 120v loads twice a month since November when we winterized the coach... all systems go until today

You may have a short, dead battery or something tripping a breaker in that line.
You might try toggeling the gen set breakers.

Check your generator for power. My transfer switch did that when the generator quit charging.

I just had my Blue Sea systems 9019 transfer switch go bad. Ordered a new one from pkys.com. over $300. Not sure what happened to it had to splice 50 amp wires together with wire nuts just to be able to get 120 volts into the coach. The new transfer switch is sitting in the office I'll pick it up in the morning. Previous owner long ago took out the automatic transfer switches for manual transfer switch it's a two position switch with one side being generator and the other side being shore.
I really like having an manual transfer switch except that in order to use the automatic generator start I would have to make sure that the transfer switch is set to generator. It's not a big deal though because I don't worry about that. I monitor my battery system with my victron color control and if it gets close to 50% and I'm not on shore power, and there's not enough solar, I shot the generator and charge that way.
I am working on a way to charge my lithium batteries through my alternator. It's a fairly big project and it's going to take me awhile before I think I know exactly what I want to do. I'm either going to go with their new Orion DC to DC charger in parallel since they only go to 30 amps I would need four, or their buck boost 100 amp DC to DC charger. Since I have a mix battery technology, with Odyssey PC 2400 start batteries * 2 and victron lithium batteries 600 amps, I have special charging needs. Also I want to be able to run my air conditioner while I'm driving off the alternator, and that requires special, expensive, solutions. I wish I could get up to Oregon to have them mess with it but that's not going to happen this year. So stay installed by a victron lithium system they would be the right people to install the DC to DC charging. And my oldest son is living in Portland Oregon now. Maybe late fall? We'll see.
