Finally!

After looking and dreaming and lots of wringing hands, I can finally say I have joined the ranks of the elite.

Soon to be new owner of a '97 U270 36 footer that's going to be my home.

Now just to figure out how to drive her.
But gotta get insurance before I do anything 😃

Look forward to driving y'all nuts with my questions.
So thank you already for all the invaluable help you have lent me...

Welcome to the Owner's Club, John.  The more, the merrier!

Just a reminder about another requirement, since you are a Texas resident.  You'll need a Class B non-CDL TX driver license to be legal.  Many posts on the subject here on the Forum.

Welcome John.
Not sure about the "elite" part but appreciative of quality for sure.  Maybe we're just cheap.    You know,, premium craftsmanship at a cheaper than new price.

John congratulations on your purchase. These are wonderful coaches but yet are still a couple of decades old. The Family of the forum members here have a vast diversified knowledge base with lots of great ideas. The coaches have a ton of systems and when I purchased ours they can be overwhelming and was. Heck still is. Don't have to catch every ball, make a list with the priorities so you can move them up or down as needed. The search function has great value and I use every day. We have our base coach about were I want it after almost  a year, finally will start on some of the fun projects. Great group of people.
Every time I take the coach out it reminds me why I wanted a Foretravel.

FWIW there are insurance policies for "full timers" that you might want to look into purchasing.

Driving the 36 is a pleasure even in cities.
Hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoy ours.
Well worth spending 10 minutes with an Allen key and socket adjusting the mirror arms and head before driving it
PS : you do know that you have to change the valve under the bathroom sink to fill your water tanks
