Body Work and Paint Recommendations

Hello,
I am looking for any recommendations on body work and paint as close to central Florida as is practical.  I'm willing to go to Texas to have work done with Xtreme or someone else but it would be nice to not have to leave Florida.  The back story is that we were driving in Pennsylvania and we passed a dump truck hauling rocks.  As we passed he lost a very large amount of his load on the road which caused us to have 40-50 rock chips and some fiberglass damage.

I'm curious if the consensus is that the panels will need entirely repainted or if acceptable results can be achieved by blending.  The issue is that the damage is *everywhere*.  Front, side and rear.  They are all small chips except for a couple that damaged the fiberglass underneath but it's pretty heartbreaking nonetheless.

This will be an insurance job but I would also want to pay out of pocket to fix some fiberglass and paint damage on the other side that was self inflicted.

I am looking for top notch work.  I had work done at another "good" shop and I was highly disappointed.  Lots of orange peeling, paint nibs, etc.  I want the same quality of work the paint currently has which includes 7 layers of clear coat.  So whoever wants to take it on has to deal with me being a pain in their butt ;)

Thanks for any and all suggestions!

Xtreme in Nacogdoches. Maybe other places ( see who is Prevost certified in FL if any shop) but worth the drive each way to Xtreme. (They are Prevost certified FWIW).

I just had Foretravel complete 23k. of body work and painting including the complete roof repainted with some hair line cracks repaired and a 1.5" crack under the drivers side window, I also had damage to the rear of the coach and the large passenger bay door replaced, the the body work and painting was impressive and paint match is near perfect.

They also beat the estimate by 8k. They basically charged what was billed hourly by there employee's with the estimate being the worst case scenario. It did take a while to complete. The body shop and paint shop both came down with Covid and slowed things down.

Then Texas had that bad ice storm, I just live just 25 minutes from Foretravel so I could make checks on it, I don't believe you could go wrong with either shops, Extreme or Foretravel both shops do good work. NO AFILIATION with either shop! Just a pleased customer.

I know this doesn't help with Florida Body / Paint shops. I'm sure there's a good shop there with all the RV's in the state I hope you have good luck finding the shop in Florida It is important to watch the work being done.

Thank you for all the suggestions..  It turns out Safeco is trying to deny this claim.  The grounds don't make much sense to me and it looks like a misreading on the adjuster's part but even still.  Anyone navigate a comprehensive claim denial?

Did you get the license plate/name of the company and report the truck to DMV? They are responsible no mater what the truck may have printed on the back. They may try and weasel out of paying but in the end, they pay.

It was a dump truck travelling the opposite direction.  It took me 2-3 miles to find a place to stop as it was a narrow road.  The truck was long gone and did not stop.  Nor did anyone else report him (I did call the police and got a report but they said nobody else reported him).  But that's not even why they are trying to deny it.  They are trying to claim it is wear and tear or something of that nature.  It looks like a misreading of their own policy by their own adjuster.

Xtreme would be my only consideration. Great people that do great work and they know Foretravels. My 03 was there for a small touch up and Greg looked at my coach and said "I painted this coach back in 03. He gave me some background on the paint job, even took the time to find the paint codes for it in his computes, only 4 painted with my design, nice guy!

I live in Florida and am in route to Xtreme right now for an insurance job due to an unfortunate tree strike.  You can send them photos and they will provide you an estimate and timeline.

Yep Safeco has formally denied the claim :(  They are basically tacitly calling me a liar.

The one picture shows a paint chip where the paint hasn't fully fallen off yet.  They claimed that the coach had existing damage repainted.  The actual chip was a chip that didn't flake off.  The way they talked to me on the phone was unbelievable.  What an awful company.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Contact insurance commissioner if you don't get satisfaction. They always pay in the end.

I got out of our ML320 in a hurry and didn't put it in park. It then rolled over the bank and down into a tree on our property over a quarter mile from any public road. They said it was an road accident and reported it to the DMV and required me to surrender the plates and get a salvage title. Even though I was in bed in the middle of the night when it happened, they said it was a chargeable accident and were going to raise my rates. The car only suffered bumper and hood damage and was able to be driven. Took a few letters and a trip to see my agent. They do try and browbeat you and intimidate with the threat of cancellation, DMV points, etc, etc.

Don't take it personally, it's just an insurance company tactic. Use the media with all the sites you can find to make a complaint. It's deny, deny, deny, deny and finally pay.
