Window removal

I noticed some discoloration on the inside of the coach, at the bottom edge of one of my windows!
How do I remove the window and what should I caulk it with? Don't want it to take over! It's said "Big ships can be sunk by small drips"!!!

Remove all the screws from around the window flange on the inside of window. Pry that flange off, then carefully start prying the window off from the outside of coach. Use a plastic scraper so as not to damage the paint. You will know when it starts to move. Work carefully.

I can deal with that!
I think I should remove all of the windows and re-caulk them all!
What is the caulk of choice, so I can order it?
Thanks!

A heat gun (not hot, warm) will help it release.  It will take longer to clean the old goo off the window and side of the coach. Use paint thinner, nothing stronger. Maybe WD40.

Use a butyl rubber tape on the window frame when reinstalling.
Amazon.com: XFasten Butyl Seal Tape, White, 1/8-Inch x 3/4-Inch x 30-Foot,...

Alternatively you can get a rubber gasket from Xtreme Paint and Graphics in Nacogdoches  (936) 560-5888

Thanks for the advice!
I just ordered some butyl tape and will begin the resealing when I return from my trip to New Hampshire.

Until then, if rain is forecast,. just use blue painter's tape over the area.

And, when you reinstall the window do not over-torque the screws.  You do want the butyl tape to ooze out all around the window frame.

Clean access with a really expensive tool-- a plastic knife.  Won't scratch the gel coat, but will cut a nice fine line around the frame.

A good idea to very slightly torque all window screws/all windows once a year or so.  Basically, just making sure none are loose, as loose screws allow for an air gap.  A good rainy day project to keep you out of trouble.

IF outside window flange is not STUCK to fiberglass, window can fall out and break when inside trim is removed. Better to have someone outside holding glass just in case.
