Dometic Toilet

Our Dometic Toilet red light is blinking 3 x and then stops, 3x and then stops. Any suggestions what the problem may be.
The electric panel blew out right before we drove away from MOT and they found a panel from another brand.
So to flush it I have to toggle both left and right toggles to the left and to close the flapper I have to toggle the right side to the right. Ugh!

Which Dometic?  Is it a VacuFlush model?

BTW - can you modify your forum profile to include your year/model of coach?  That way, every post you make has that info and folks don't have to ask/guess what you have and potentially give you irrelevant info.

BTW, if it's a VacuFlush, you need the circuit board specific to the model of toilet.  And, if you have a VacuFlush, you cannot replace it with a gravity model since your toilet is not located directly over the black tank.

The manual for the most common early 2000's VacuFlush installed in Foretravels is here https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?action=media;sa=media;in=1557

Per pg. 12, 3 blinking lights indicates you have insufficient vacuum.  That could be a failed pump, a failed vacuum generator, a poor bowl seal, input hose to the vacuum generator is not sealing/has come loose, or maybe the vacuum switch.

Do you hear the kachunka-kachunka of the pump motor?

If you do not have sufficient vacuum, DO NOT USE THE TOILET!  The vacuum is what pulls the bowl contents all the way into the vacuum generator and then pushes it into the black tank.  The waste is possibly not able to reach the vacuum generator and will back up in the line going to it, creating more of a mess when it is serviced.

Your best option for Vacu-Flush parts and service is a marine dealer (or maybe a Winnebago dealer - they frequently use Vacu-Flush toilets).  This would also be a good time to have the duckbills replaced (need to do that every 3 years) and the bowl seal if it hasn't been done and if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself.

Oh my goodness. Thank you Michelle. Yes I will add the year and model or our coach. Thanks so very much.
It's a vaccuflush and MOT pulled a circuit board from a storage closet in their warehouse and installed it in our toilet, but it's not the one for this model they said. They kind of Jerry rigged it. Ugh.

More than you probably wanted to know about the vacuum generator, back when we got up close and personal with it  VacuFlush Pump Rebuild

I would definitely look at Dan's link for parts and info (Dan and Sandy own "our" previous 2003 U320 with a VacuFlush).

BTW we really liked that system; it just needs a little more care than gravity models, but it has a whole lot more "oomph".

I can't thank you all enough for your help.
Until we can get to a place to either fix the toilet ourselves or have it repaired, I'm doing what I did when I was working construction with an all male crew and only an outhouse.
The job trailer had a toilet that wasn't hooked up, so I got a heavy duty trash bag, added kitty litter and Voila!
We moved out of our house yesterday and are leaving Monday for VA, so I've had to get creative for me and my husband! Lol!
