5 foot bin door hinges broke

Ok. I know there have been plenty of these failures as the fiberglass gets bridle. My drivers side completely failed while camping in Meeker. I put it back into the locks and duct taped it on to get home.
Who has actually repaired this. I know I need to drill all the rivets out of the hinge. 1/2 inch by 5 foot aluminum strapping material? Should I use rivets again or bolts and washers?
Any tips will be appreciated on repairing this at home. My shops are booked out months ahead on repairs.
I can post a picture if needed. the lip is still there but the holes are broken at the top on every rivet.

Here's how they do it at Xtreme. I had installed the wrong psi struts on this door and it cracked the hinge area. They drill out the rivets, apply a little fiberglass and install bolts, flat washers and nylocs.

Ok. Had my fabrication shop make me a 71 inch aluminum 1/2 x 1 inch bent to 83 degrees. I drilled all the holes in it after marking them and am now waiting for the Gorilla HD construction adhesive to dry 24 hours then I'll borrow some friends and hoist it up and bolt it in place. I'll use both old and 5 new holes. I hope this works!!!

Well it's all done. The aluminum 1/8th x1/2 x 1 bent at 83 degrees, 71 inches long and Gorilla glued seems happy. I drilled 5 new holes and used bolts and nylon lock nuts on those and the old holes. Also removed one strut and bought a adjustable shower curtain rod to hold it up when open which is seldom to alleviate the pressure of the new struts. I don't have a used wore out one as I took all of them to the metal recycler. Had the shop make 2 so I'm ready for the other side if or when it needs it. I can post pictures if anyone needs them
