MOT Communication and Responsiveness

What are people's interactions with MOT sales? I have chatted with 1 salesman a couple of times, including asking to be put "on a list" when new inventory comes in. To date, I have not received any notification even though they have had inventory meeting requirements and budget. Currently they have a couple, I have reached out twice this week but am getting crickets. Is this just their MO or just this salesperson?

In my conversation with them in the last year my experience has been like yours.  I would hope their service is better than their sales teem.

I've never had them call me when I was looking.... indicates they don't have to as they sell without calling.. might make buddies with a salesman and get communication, I didn't have much time for "bonding" with potential new friends. One sits long enough they would work a phone but if one sits long there are other issues.... There you have it. Nice enough people but people don't usually do what they don't have to.. now there you have it. Sellers market

We're at MOT now. The Foretravel "Beaver" is listed as pending, but nowhere to be seen. Probably in the transmission shop. On the other hand, one of the "twins" listed as a "new arrival." It has been on the website for at least a month. Only a couple of pictures. It is rare to see one of the sales people in the office, and when you do they are usually busy.

If I was really serious about buying from them, and had the time, I'd just camp out in their campground and pester a sales person each day, as well as checking the inventory myself. I'm guessing there would be plenty of action.

I was talking to two different salesmen (Mel being one of them) for 3 months,weekly. Me calling them, looking for a 36' U295.Cash buyer, "in heat" ready to come down at the drop of a hat. A U295 36" came in (they started posting it), I called right away,they sold the coach without contacting me, while I was on the phone with Mel.

When I expressed my frustration (didn't blow up or anything) for being on a "list" and never being contacted, they said "Don't worry, we will find you another coach. That was 3 years ago, never heard from them since.

All coaches with a 'C' in front of them are consignment, so all you are doing is buying someone's else's coach with a stiff mark up.

We bought a better coach, a month later private party, and paid about $15K less.

I wouldn't give them the time of day, and will never buy from them.

Sorry, everytime this question comes up on here, it brings up bad memories and disappointment.

When I bought the coach I have now I called them and never heard back.

I hear a lot good about their service department. Is their service as bad as their sales department?

Many have had a very good experience buying or shopping for a coach at MOT. A lot more than not I think.  We bought our coach from the original owner so we don't have direct experience with the sales side but know at least a half dozen that have had a successful purchase there. We have had service done there several times and it has been excellent. This includes windshield replacement, brakes, slide alignment adjustment, coolant flush and fill and oil and filter changes.

MOT sells a lot of coaches and work on a bunch, too.  About 4 years ago,  we were making many trips to MOT walking the lot and trying to find the right coach.  We found a couple only to find that they had already been placed under contract.  Our salesman, Jeff, called us before our coach was listed and we looked at the pics he sent.  We placed a deposit over the phone and left for Nac.  This was before C19 and the good coaches were going fast.  We have had nothing but good experiences with MOT both with sales and service. 
Maybe things have changed at MOT and they aren't like we experienced or maybe the times changed and the coaches are moving quicker due to the current RV buying frenzy.  I don't know.  We weren't passive when we looked for our coach.  We continued to contact Jeff and travel to Nac making sure he was looking for what we were interested in. 
Hopefully they are still as good as we experienced and the times will pass.

We had a great buying experience at MOT. We go back for annual service and they have been great.

Different subject all together.. They treated me well in service..  without going into details that don't matter, one job they did for me came "undone" by the time I drove the 200 miles home.. Sent a photo and in 10 days had a check refunding %100.. Can't be more straight up than that.

Always had an acceptable experience with MOT. The service has always been great. We did not buy our coach from them but have always used them for service work. We are usually there annually and I like to watch others in the lot looking at the coaches for sale. Sometimes it reminds me of when we where looking. I didn't know a motorhome from a space shuttle. I couldn't even spell Foretravel. I also wonder how many times a customer sees a coach that could be what they wanted and they are slow to move on it..... Could be some sour feelings because it was sold elsewhere.

We bought our coach from MOT, 4 years ago. Spent 2 years looking at their inventory, wearing out our sales representative. Did not buy a Foretravel, bought a Newmar. They have been my go to place for service and repair. Always responsive to my needs and always have been top shelf in their repairs. They will continue to be my dealer of choice as we are now pursuing or next coach, a Foretravel.

We flew to MOT several times looking at coaches available. Our salesman would call us frequently letting us know what was on the lot.  We finally found the coach we wanted and bought from MOT.  They have been great both with service and just "checking up" on us still, two years later.  We have been very happy with them.

I have bought 3 coaches from MoT. A Foretravel a Newell and the Foretravel I have now. I have been more than pleased with all 3 purchases. I also have used their service department on many occasions. I can highly recommend them. I do live in Nac and that might help a little because I am over there visiting 2 or 3 times a month.

We looked in MOT for a coach when we were ready to buy, Jack Yeates was our salesman, he was on the ball calling every few days, emailing links and telling us which coach would be a disappointment (had problems) and which ones were a good buy.
In the end we bought from a private party in Denver, who had bought the coach from MOT three years before.
So YES we had a good experience there!
