Air leak behind step

We have an '02 U320.  Hubby has  repaired a couple of small air leaks under the rig and behind the step. There is air coming from a nut we can't get a good picture of.  But, it looks like it's coming from a screened hole like the one in this picture. Can anyone tell me what this is and what, if anything, I can do to stop the air? Thanks for the help.

The valve is shot so you need a new valve and they don't make that
valve any more they have an upgraded one that works.

I think that is an exhaust port on the valve. Could it be the ram leaking past the seals to the exhaust port ?

It is the exhaust port and if you are going to get new ones I would go with
the ones Roger suggested as they are way cheaper than Norgren valve about
one tenth the price. I would have gone that way if I had know about them when
I did my valves.
