Old lesson New Student

As all of you experienced folks know, 'It's always something' with these glorious machines.
My first adventure ended with a stuck throttle that gave me some laundry to do.
Well, now I've learned the slight oil leak we saw is actually the hydraulic pump saying it wants replacement...
There's $2500 that apparently didn't need to stay in the bank account...
I know they always need something. Just wish she'd give a little room to breathe between needs...

May be worth checking with a hydraulic shop about overhauling it.

Post brand and model and someone may have information for you.

I did my motors haven't had any pump problems. There is a post with part number for the seal and my R&R for the fan motors

I had a leaking seal on my hydraulic pump about 3 years ago, and I had it rebuilt for about $200.  It's been vault solid for the past 3 years.  I'm not sure of your location, but I used ACR Hydraulics, 756 N Hariton St, Orange, CA 92868.  You can probably find a hydraulic repair shop somewhere near you.  They are relied upon heavily for farm equipment.  Hydraulic pumps are ubiquitous and there are lots of service folks around.  They machined the shaft a tiny bit and popped in a Viton seal.  Good as new.

Got too many Chucks around here - not sure which one you meant.

I did rebuild my Vickers V10 cooling fan hydraulic pump, but probably not the same pump as on OP's newer coach.  Just in case, link below to my rebuild thread.  Some of the links in the thread might not work any more, cuz it is getting old (like me).

Do a search for Hydraulic Pump. I replaced the seal in mine not a big deal. If your pump is the same as mine the seal is 1.50x1.00x1/4. All in about 100.00 bucks including new filters and oil. Tools needed puller (harbor freight, and correct bolts from hardware store) , inside snap ring pliers, various wrenches, small 2" long sheet metal screw and ice pick to punch a small holein the seal , 8" or so 1" pvc pipe to install the new seal. New hyd filters, can seal, about 4 gal of oil. That's if your pump is the same as mine.
