Air Leak - Can you help Identify this part

This is coming off of my aux compressor and leaking air.  Can you help identify?  It looks like there is a grey fitting going into the metal part and that is where the air is coming from.

It appears to be a push-on fitting that should be replaced with a DOT compression fitting.  The brass item it is screwed into is a check valve, I believe.  DOT compression fittings are available at lots of parts store especially NAPA.
