Hydraulic leveling jack leak

Both of my rear leveling jacks on the grand Villa are leaking out of what appears to be a pinhole at the end of the piggyback ram cylinder. It only occurs when they are in the vertical position (under pressure).

I can't imagine this is expected so either I have some faulty components, or some other kinks to work out since replacing one of these two jacks. Can anyone nudge me in the right direction please?

By the way, you can't see it in the pictures, but they are significant leaks. A steady stream until pressure is relieved from the lines.
