HWH Warning

Anyone ever gotten this message on their HWH screen: "Chassis Speed Info Unknown, default settings used" and accompanied by the HWH warning tones?

Every item on the various pages looked OK. So...?

If I were to have something with active suspension it would look more like the vehicle pictured.

It sound like you've lost some of the benefits of your active suspension until you get that speed sensor fixed.

The Citroen Goddess is not trouble free by any stretch of the imagination, but the only error message you will see is the big red STOP light in the center of the instrument cluster.  Which you interpret as "Stop if you still may do so."

Is your coach, I hope, still drivable while the warning message is displayed and tone is sounding?

What "pages" are you referring to?  The "pages" that are displayed on your HWH screen, or the pages in the Operator's Manual?

Because you have a much newer coach than the majority of our members, any useful answer to your question may be slow in showing up.  You have a very complicated HWH system, which makes troubleshooting more difficult.  I pulled up a copy of the HWH manual that may apply to your system (see link below).  I find the fact that it contains very little "Troubleshooting" advice unhelpful.  I don't know if calling FOT will do much good.  It is possible that your only viable option will be a call or email to HWH.  Unfortunately, their response time to inquiries from system owners can be slow.  Patience may be required.

Have you done a reset?
Is there anything in your storage that could have loosen connection to the hwh control?

 Sound like it lost the sensor that tells the system the coach is over a certain speed. I will have to lookup how that works 
Takes 4 weeks to get answer from HWH
I would call FOT, let us know what they say

With key on, sitting still.
On page 1 of the status screen What does it say for
"Lateral Force"
"Speed Switch"
"Suspension Mode"

Page 3
"Parking Brake"
"Ign Key"
Steering Encode"

On the AP42210 CN9 (green) connection to the main Central Control pin 5  is marked "Blk(W9900) speed switch"  I am going to have to figure out where this wire goes.

It could also be getting that information from  either the RV-C or the  J1939 Data Bus

Thanks for your replies.

By pages, I meant on the HWH display/control unit. All bag pressures looked normal, all suspension points were at normal levels. You are certainly right about complicated for sure. I drove 40 miles after stopping and looking things over and all seemed normal. I guess I'll have to contact FOT and HWH.

 No, I haven't tried the master re-set but I will next time I get down to our storage building. Also, I'll be able to answer your questions after I get back to the bus this week.

There is no polite way to tell someone that when the display screen reads "Chassis Speed Info Unknown, default settings used" you should believe what it says.  The first clause says that you've got something unplugged somewhere in the HWH system otherwise all sorts of interesting things would be happening if it was the actual speed sensor.  Most likely.  The second clause says that it's okay to keep driving but all you have now is regular air bag suspension.

My post, directly below yours, may have sounded more "pointed" than I intended.  My post was not actually any more helpful than yours.  All I did, basically, was say "I'm sorry for your troubles, but I can't help you".

I just wanted the OP to know that he might not quickly get an actual solution to his problem simply because we (the Forum members) don't have much collective experience with his more sophisticated HWH system.

The actual solution is going to be different fore every incident.  On this one, we can be pretty certain that it's a bad connection because speed info from either the engine or transmission management computers, if they're separate, would kill the speedometer and throw engine and transmission error codes.  If by actual solution you suggest that some other Realm owner is going to come on-line and say "It's this multi-pin connector and you need to wiggle it while holding your tongue just so . . ," well that just doesn't help.
