What toilet do I have? Need a new seat

I don't see one name or number on this thing, but need a new seat.  Heck, is there a "Foreforums recommended seat"?  Need the best for the DW!

That looks like my SeaLand  model 4300. Do a Goggle and see if it is the same as yours.

You can call FOT parts dept, give them your vin and they'll give you your unit number. This is unique to each coach and lists everything that went into your rig.

I needed a toilet flapper seal and they were unsure which one until I gave them the vin. With the unit number, they were able to tell me exactly the toilet make and model.

Many times the PO has changed the toilet. My coach came with a Microphor toilet from the factory but had a SeaLand in it when I bought it.

Toilet or not, having your unit # is critical for parts sourcing IMO.

Very interesting...looks like the toilet is so close to the wall that you can't get your hands in there to hold the plastic seat nuts from the bottom.  I'm definitely trying to avoid removing the toilet to install a seat.  Hmmm.

So actually I'm going to recommend removing it just for preventive maintenance. When i removed our old one the wax gasket had melted and disappeared 90%. FWI the new dometic 320 toilet came with a new  permanent gasket 👍👍

With the limited space to get between the toilet and wall (about an inch), and not wanting to remove the toilet today, I bent a piece of 1" x 1/8" aluminum bar and drilled a hole in the end of it about the size of the plastic nuts for the seat.  I tried grease, but it didn't have enough strength, so I moved on to silicone.  Siliconed the nut to the tool and gave it about 2hrs to set, then fished the nuts under the edge and screwed the screws in.  By leaving an opening at the end of the bar for the tab on the nut, the tool kept the nut from turning as well.  Worked out well and was quick and easy to make.
