Anti-gel fuel additive

Preparing to store the coach until late January when we will leave Michigan for Florida.  Will be topping off the fuel tank before putting into storage.  Fuel will be summer blend.  Storage building is heated maintaining 40+ degrees.

Should I add the Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement Winterizer/Antigel now at fill-up or wait until just before leaving late January and add to an already full tank?

Thanks for your help!

Add when you fill up and run the generator also. This will insure you have treated fuel in all systems. Additive won't weaken sitting in the tank.

Yes, add it BEFORE filling.  Then driving home/to storage will circulate it.

Be sure to run your generator long enough and under at least 1/2 load to circulate it there as well.

Good video. We have PowerService in our tank. I do like the flammability test along with the decent gel test. Our most important concern is the cold weather starting where the higher the cetane number is, the better. Since U300/Detroits come with a very poor non-block heater location and no heated screen like Cummins, anything to help cold weather starting is welcome.

Depending on the concentration of the additive in the container, the results might change. I would like to see a test with the recommended mix in a gallon of diesel and then tested.

Don't forget aqua hot also. The engine ECM cooling returns heated fuel to the fuel tank. Once you get on the road and get things circulating should produce enough heat to prevent any issues. Ive always wondered if the Fuel Cooler would be happier covered in the cold winter weather?
