It only took 7 months, but I got it home

I bought a 2000 U320 in March. Got it towed to a shop and there it sat. I underestimated how much it was going take to get a simple hydraulic fan motor fixed. Little did I know what a Pandora's box of fixes awaited me. Labor and parts are in short supply. Orchestrating this from 900 miles away was brutal to say the least.
I finally got a chance to fly out and pick it up. It rained for four solid days and the windshield wiper gave out only 20 miles into the trip. Beyond that, the running gear performed flawlessly.
The house batteries are shot, so I didn't attempt to mess with slide, AquaHot, fridge, water pump or anything that would be affected by them. I'll get those batteries installed this week.
At least I finally got it, drove it and it is in local storage where I can play with it.
It'll be a project

Glad you have it home. Having some Rain-x along it a good idea. It makes driving
a lot better if you lose the wipers.

Found out the hard way: Don't use Rain-X unless you have Rain-X as washer fluid also.
I switched to Turtle Wax Ice Synthetic car polish on windows, windshields, mirrors, fridge, stove, and coach exterior.

That Rain-X would have come in real handy. It was too rainy out to add it.
The storage place has an RV car wash that adds Rain-X at the end of the wash cycle.

Filling that big fuel tank is kind of a heart stopper the first time you do it.    :o    At least I thought so.

From now on, you could try to plan your fill-ups so you only need to fill half the tank.  Good for a couple reasons.  Less of a hit on the credit card each time, although it happens more often.  Also, especially in the summer time, helps keep the fuel in the tank from getting so hot.  Cooler fuel is always better for the engine.

At somewhere around the 1/4 tank level, you may find the generator will start sucking air.  Not good, so always strive to stay above 1/4 tank if at all possible.

Using my new TSD Logistics card will probably help big time. The price on the pump is what you would've paid😀

Glad you made it safely. So I'm new to this also and will be heading out on a 3000 mile trip in a couple weeks. I have the TSD card but have not used it yet. Did you say the price shown on the pump is not the price charged to you with the TSD card? How does that work? I thought the reduced price was reflected at the pump... just wondering what to expect...

OK never mind my wife straightened me out... the price on the pump is not what is withdrawn from the account that was set up on the card... I'll get it figured out one of these days 🤪😂

Correct, you need to check the app to know what price you'll pay. After you fill up you can go back into the app and see how many gallons you bought and at what price. See attached

Bob;  feel your pain with regards to the wipers not working.  Lost ours in a snow storm coming out of Fargo last year.  Not fun!  Glad to hear you made it home safely!  Love the TDS card, but hate that we lost the great benefits on Love's.  Rather go there than any of the rest for the fact that their lanes are much cleaner and less chance of stepping into diesel, etc.
