Water Solenoid

My 1995 U320 has a stuck water solenoid  for the water system.

I'm stuck on the 12 volt pump. I also cannot activate the fill tank switch.... Both have green lights but only the 12 V pump is working........ running out of on board tank water 😩

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Do you hear a click when you activate the switch? The momentary switch activates a latching relay that then powers the solenoid. You need to determine which one isn't operating.

The relay clicks, so I'm pretty sure it's the solenoid that switches from 12V pump to city water.

Any idea where the solenoid is located?

Was my first project of ownership.  I took out the water solenoid and put in a manual ball valve. Its been working great ever since.
Mine was behind the pump and water tank bladder. It was buried behind the panels on passenger side in bay in front of rear wheels.

I have a 320, solenoid is in the bay in front of passenger side rear wheel. You can most likely take it apart and just clean it. Mine worked like new after I did. It took 15 minutes. Good luck.

On my 95 U320 the solenoid is in the water bay behind the 12v water pump. You should be able to follow the water lines from the bottom of the fresh water holding tank. The solenoid is black and attached to a Tee fitting. When mine failed I took the solenoid out and replaced with a ball valve. I eventually rebuilt the solenoid and replaced the ball valve.
The electric solenoid valve is VERY restrictive and adds a considerable amount of time when re-filling the fresh water tank.
Many owners add a quick fill line to the top of the fresh water tank to aid in the speed of a refill. The added quick re-fill line is usually placed on the drivers side of the water holding tank.
A search will provide plenty of posts on this subject and how to install the quick fill line.
