Water system accumulator

I know there was topic of this type a couple of years ago, but I thought I would start a new one.
I wanted to replace my shurflo 4008 with a 4048 to achieve a little more water pressure.  The replacement of the water pump was a bit of a challenge due to small space and Aqua hot bay heater int eh same are, but was able to get it done

Now, at the same time I have been reading about accumulator replacement etc.  I have the large jabsco accumulator installed and really did not think too much about it. So...I decided to check the unit. My system is still winterized with an empty water tank. I do have pink throughout but no water pressure in the system. So as I have read on the forum, open a tap to release all the pressure , without the pump on, and press the sxhrader valve to check air pressure. When I did that, oodles of water came out with very little air.  I believe that mean that it is toast. I think the unit ia over 15 years old.... In thinking about a replacementi am interested in the shurflo 100 series unit that pressures to about 25 ish. My new 4048, I think is about 25 psi on the setting
Now the big question.  Check the picture out as there is a valve a t the bottom of the jabsco and only 1 fitting. The new shurflo has an in and a out. How to I plumb this to make it work ??
Pics are attached and I hope they show what I am scratching my head over
Help and advise would be appreciated

A picture of the new accumulator would be nice. For a accumulator to work all you need
is one water port and an air port. If you have two water ports I would plug one and use the
other.

So an update and question
There is a valve at the bottom of the existing accumulator.....I assume to bypass the Jabsco. Maybe since I have the new shurflo 4048. Upgraded from the 4008 I should bypass the accumulator and see if the pump operates well??!

Also to answer your question oldguy, I have not purchased a new accumulator as of yet

When I bought a new pump I was planning to put in an accumulator as I was told that
the kind I bought was not to be used with an accumulator so I never bothered. The
pump I have works fine.

Since water is coming out of the valve instead of air. The accumulator is not doing you any good now.  All it is for to hold some water, balance out the pressure and too keep the pump from starting and stopping as much.

Just read the Shurflo 4048 instructions and in big bold letters it states,NO NEED FOR ACCUMULATOR WITH THIS PUMP,it is a
bypass pump,whatever makes you happy.

You are correct!  Since air can be dissolved in water, there is supposed to be a rubber diaphragm between the air and the water in that tank, as there was at some time in the past.

Thanks for all the responses. To alleviate me having to take out the jabsco accumulator I will just turn the valve and by pass the accumulator. As it was stated, the instructions say the water pump does not require the accumulator

So one more update
I am looking at just taking the Jabsco accumulator right out and capping the input line to it.  It has been stated here and on the shurflo 4048 instructions I do not need an accumulator in the system, so I will take it out. This should give me a little room to work with in there!
