Window valence replacements

The DW has requested that I ask you guys for pictures of what you did to remove/replace/update the window valences in your coach (both on top and sides). She wants them gone to "lighten it up". I am against it but know better than to argue.

We had them recovered in Mexico with the same fabric we used to reupholster the couch.  A nice light color and modern design.  Turned out great.

Old is blue and was original.

It was super easy, just need a staple gun, drill with Phillips head and square head, and new fabric.  We put ours right over the old fabric.

Do you have any pics you can share? This is what I wanted to do some day but she wants the valences completely gone, which I fear may look tacky  :(

The valances hold the blinds in place when traveling. The valances in the front were redone
by the previous owner and my wife prefers the ones in the bedroom that weren't done.

Without the valance's you going to get a lot of light around the blinds.

Removed our side valences in the living area and haven't missed them.  It seems to make the area look "roomier".

As usual, YMMV.

I had removed the valences on one of the windows to remove the window to reseal it. It does provide a little more of a spacious feel, but also makes the windows feel more rv like.

The other thing is you may lose your light strip. I tend to like the light strip. Is it the monkeys that she doesn't like?  :D

Well, besides the original owner that ordered them, that makes two people in this world.

Count me in as a third, I believe your 'better half" has impeccable taste. Very reminiscent of stuff I've seen from India.
