Water fill Valve

first time using the coach


I am trying to fill the water tank and it does not seem to do anything when I press the fill valve.

the fill valve light comes on.

I am assuming that I have to use the reel hose to get my water needs because I don't see any other  hose connections  besides the tank flush.

do I need to keep the pump on?

I checked for continuity at the breaker and looks like I have power there.

Leave the pump off. Yes you use the hose. I have had the check valve fail and stop the
water flow. It is behind the hose reel in mine. The other thing could be solenoid valve.
If you still have some water in your tank turn on the pump and when it quits turn on
the fill valve and if you here the pump take off the valve is working.

is the pump supposed to fill the tank or its just pressure from the city water.


does the pump revert to fill the tank?

I posted some pics to show what I have here

can I bypass the valve  or simply take it of.

I saw a way on Allthingsforetravel but the set up there does not have  the additional  pvc valve

Just city pressure. What I wrote is away of testing the fill valve. If you forget to shut off the
fill valve and turn the pump on the pump will keep on running. Shutting off the fill valve
the pump will stop. If you do that and it works like I said then the problem is something
else. Also check the screen on the hose to see if it is plugged. Then check the check valve.
If the solenoid valve is the problem you could pull it and put in a ball valve.

I let mine come out the overflow but my overflow I have extended below the bulkheads.
I guess others watch there gauge and shut it off before it is full. Someone else will give
you how they do it.

I drained some water and then i tried again and I could tell from the hose jeering that  something was different. I also felt the water  running trough the hose as well but then it stopped.

there was a little belly on the tank .
but no overflow.

my question is

there is another device on the line before the drain valve.

what is its purpose? see the pvc  with a black valve on top  can I delete all this?

That is one of your pressure transducers that feeds info to the Javelina system so it indicates the level in the tank There is also one for the grey and another for the black tank.

That device is your water level sensor, don't remove it. You have a high level shut-off sensor on the upper face of your tank. If it's working you will never overfill your tank. You should be able to see it. Will be above your water hose reel and electric reel. Once the water reaches that level the fill valve solenoid valve will close, stopping water to your tank.

Daniel When your hooked up to city water ( regulated to under 65psi) do you have water at your facets inside? Sounds like your fill valve has calcium pugging it's operation. Easy to disassemble and clean with vinegar. If you have no city water inside check your check valve after the hose reel.

Scott i do have water at my faucets inside and at the wet bay. Also no presure regulator ( my country coach used to have one built in) and i am ssumiong this rig has one as well

i noticed that on the right of the black valve  where the power goes in it slowly leaks there as well.

i am a bit confused about this whole thing. ( like someone said once the idiocracy of foretravel)

so the wet bay is driver side  with the hose fill and then somehow the reffil valve is all the way accros on the passenger side not sure i understand there is no hose comming from the other side anywhere maybe i am looking at the wrong parts. also the cauking in the wet bay makes it so much more like do not touch.

1. Get one as your F/T don't have one built in
2. This may be your problem with the fill valve not opening. There should be no water leaking out the coil area of the fill valve. This need to be addressed before the water leak can cause major damage to the basement floor.
3.There is a line that runs across the basement under/through the tank stands that support the tanks.
