Slightly sagging bed platform

Has anyone reinforced the bed platform in their north/south bed motorhome?

We put in a new 12" foam mattress two years ago. It sags in the middle so it feels like we are rolling into each other (this is okay sometimes). I called the mattress company and they said if sag is not more than 1.5" they do nothing. I talked to a mattress manufacturer in Shipshewana, IN and he suggested I examine the platform. When I stand on the platform it does deflect about 1/2". This does not seem like enough to cause our issue but I am thinking of ways to reinforce the platform before we go buy another new mattress. If we get a new one I think I will go with inner coil springs instead of foam. By the way, neither my wife or I are over 200 lb.

Thank you, Ed

We had limited success with 'bed in a box' mattresses. We cycled through 4 before we returned to Tempurpedic. All 4 sagged before the end of the trial period.

We have a tuft and needle foam mattress and like it for the price point. Haven't had any issues with sagging. How's the insulation in your engine bay? Is it possible the heat from your engine is prematurely breaking down the foam?
