Ignition Solenoid/Relay 2000 U320

Forum member on the side of the road. Phone signal not good enough for him to post.

2000 U320 4210.

Can't find his ignition solenoid/relay(s)-- looked in electrical area in front of passenger's seat and under flip up dash.

SUGGESTIONS on where to locate it.

Work around once located:

Remove the wire from one large lug and JOIN IT to the wire/other large lug. Now all ignition-hot circuits powered until wire removed.

On my 2001 U320 4220, there is a stud with a number of wires affixed with a Bosch black relay just outboard with two red wires, two green wires and a black wire.  the two red wires and the stud are energized by turning the key ON.  This is a much smaller relay than on my 1995 U320.  The black wire is energized with key OFF.  Hope this helps.

Understand from Rudy, that he was able to talk him through getting it going.

Way to go.

It stopped again after running for 5 miles.  Got him in touch with Keith Risch.  So here's hoping.

Did not take Keith long and they are underway again.  Bravo Keith.  He is the very best on Foretravels and other brands too.

We made it home! So thankful for the great help I recieved when broke down on a very busy highway. Special thanks to Brett, Rudy and Keith, all very good men and full of knowledge on these coaches.
Now to try to figure out why I lost ignition power. Sure would of liked to go on over to Nac and get it fixed but had to get the great grandkids and wife home.
Thanks again to everyone who helped!

Update: Found the problem, it was the stop switch on the auxiliary start in the engine compartment. It was intermittently shorting inside and would shut the engine down. I just unhooked the wires from the switch and that did the trick. Why do such small things cause such big problems?

Sure is easier to work on something in the shop without cars going by at 80 just wish things would rear their ugly head in the shop beforehand.
