New to Us 2003 U320

This is Charlie and Mernie Matthews. We just purchased a 2003 U320 - this coach is in almost new condition.  We are the 2nd owners, but did not purchase it from the original owner. It had been traded in at a local RV store.  We are just thrilled with this coach and plan to live in it for a few years. Yes Diesel is very expensive so our travels will be a little limited at first.

Yes..Welcome to the Foretravel Family. And it really is a family IMO. We love our, new to us last year, 2008 338 Nimbus. It hasn't come without its expenses, but the quality of these coaches makes them worth repairing and keeping on the road. We have had some great travels this year with much more to come. Get out and enjoy when you can....

Charles,  You have a very fine big Aqua Hot heating system.  It has a 50,000 btu diesel burner.  It is imperitive that you run the burner on a diesel cycle once per month or more.  Living in it makes this easy, turn on burner when using the shower.

Not running the burner for weeks and months on end allows the diesel on the nozzle to congeal.  This messes up the spray pattern causing smoking or no firing at all.  Running once per month will allow you to go 2,3 and sometimes 4 years before burner service in needed.

If you need more info or assistance with the heater, shoot me a PM with your phone number.  All the best.

Welcome Charlie, That is one beautiful coach.  Reread reply #6 above and get in touch with Rudy.  Do this long before you have any problems or even any intelligent questions about your Aqua Hot.  No matter your level of expertise you will learn something or at least have a very enjoyable conversation.

Congrats on a great purchase and welcome!  They talk about houses having "great bones".  Your coach has great bones.  No brand better that year and size IMO.  Just maintain it and she'll give you a lifetime of adventures.  You're in the right place to get opinions and advice about PM and improvements.  All the best.
