Help with Girard awning please.

I've had my Girard awning out twice. Twice I've had to crank it in by hand. It has the remote control and it goes out great. Stop button works good also. Every time I hit the in button it goes for a bit then stops dead. At any time I can go out. Won't go in all the way. Dead calm no wind. Plugged in to shore power.

Anybody got any ideas??

I've since found this topic in search and on the Beaver page. Sounds like some electronics to be bypassed and/or replaced.

How do you crank it in by hand?

You should have a wand about 5-6 feet long that hooks into an opening at the front of the awing on the bottom. Look for a hole there and you will see a small rod hanging down. The wand hooks onto that piece. That's how mine works.
