I think the black vented knob located beside the infra red sensor in bedroom above the drawers is a temperature sensor for the rear AC
Can any one confirm if I am correct!

What does the infra red sensor do? ....also, how can you check the remote temp sensor to confirm it's working. I'm not sure mine is working.

The little lens on the right in the picture and trimmed in brass is a photo eye repeater for the OEM TV remote control.
