Re: Powertech PT 10 generator Reply #28 – August 18, 2022, 04:44:30 pm Not Bruce but it would be a simple swap. Use the best engine with the good power head all the wiring and related stuff would be plug and play. Deciding on the radiator and which one to use would be the biggest thing to ponder. Re: Powertech PT 10 generator Reply #32 – September 10, 2022, 09:36:37 pm So, yesterday thought I would start the dead generator just to run it a bit. Started right up making power ran both airs for 1/2 an hour!!! So now what loose connection somewhere in the generator end? Quote Selected
Re: Powertech PT 10 generator Reply #33 – September 10, 2022, 09:49:50 pm Bruce,Did you have the end bearing replace some time back? If so I would go out on a limb as say that one of the wires on the diode plate has come loose from where it was taken off for bearing replacement. But I would look real close in the crontrol box for a loose wire before taking the end cover off to check the rotor.Mike Quote Selected
Re: Powertech PT 10 generator Reply #34 – September 10, 2022, 10:57:50 pm Been all over the control box a couple of times. Also had it checked out by a PT generator guy. In h next few days going to pull the end cover off see what I can see. Yes I did have the generator end bearing replaced 3 years ago. Quote Selected
Re: Powertech PT 10 generator Reply #35 – September 11, 2022, 06:41:55 am Bruce,If it has been that long I would have thought that if one of the screws was going to come loose it would have been shortly after the bearing replacement. With what has happened you have a loose wire the problem is locating it.Mike Quote Selected

Re: Powertech PT 10 generator Reply #37 – September 11, 2022, 11:08:58 am I found 2 wires that had broken inside the connectors at two different times. I found themwhen I was going to change the voltage regulator. I postponed the voltage regulator twotimes. So pulling on the wires might be a good idea. Quote Selected
