Best battery disconnect

Is there a recommended Start battery disconnect switch for the 2000 U320 M11 450. Is there a recommended amp rating. Thanks

If your coach has two large start battery cables connected to battery bank, one may be a direct wire to starter, and if there are no more wires running from starter battery terminal, there will not be any transient start battery loads and usually not necessary to put a disconnect switch on this high-amp use cable.

You could then shut down all start battery loads with a reasonable priced disconnect switch on the other big cable and not ever restrict starter current.

Most battery disconnect switches could offer some resistance to the very high amp starter motor draws and any voltage drop can stress / overheat (starter) motors.

9/16 wrench to disconnect the primary ground Wire  Held in place with earth magnets. other than a runaway starter I see no need. If you're concerned of batteries going dead they're happiest disconnected from each other. The weakest one will pull the other two down till they're all dead.

If you are determined to have a disconnect switch on your start battery bank, then the Blue Sea Model 3000 is a suitable candidate.  With a 30 second cranking rating of 1750 amps, it should be able to handle the current draw of your M11 in all but the coldest operating conditions.

Chuck wonder how much reduced that would be for the gear reduction starter? I would think the numbers would be much less. Thanks for posting numbers. I knew they were big
