Aquahot water leak

Should I open this can of worms or leave it alone and keep an eye on it ?

Don't see water pooling anywhere.  My instincts tell me to try and tighten the fittings but being unfamiliar with this type of fitting I don't want to make things worse.

I believe those are compression fittings and if I have to cut the hose off to put a new one on I'm not sure I have enough slack in the hose to make it work.

Thoughts ?

Charlie,

You must be talking about the line that is covered with the green/blue yuck. That fitting om one end is a compression and the other is NPT. The NPT end is the end that looks like it has leaked in the past. Most that I have seen has some type of pipe dope that has been used on the pipe thread end.

Now you ask for an opinion and may open a can of worms but with it appearing to be sealed off now I would watch it for a while. The down side of this action is what if it starts leaking in the middle of this winter while on the road. Now if I was doing a major cleaning of the burner and chamber I would clean that pipe up and re seal that fitting while the burner was out of the way.
