Replacement side mirror

The glass company liberated 30% of my side mirror while replacing the windshield. Can anyone tell me the part number for the whole assembly?

Ramco Mirrors

Ramco Mirrors, still in business and very helpful if you reach out to them. Mine was busted apart when I was rebuilding the crash damage and they were great to help get wiring diagrams and everything. I found a NOS on Ebay and was luck to save some bucks.

That piece you are holding in your hand was probably not part of the original mirror - it is a "added on" piece commonly called a "Top Hat".  It is usually installed by drilling a couple holes in the top of the OEM mirror housing, and attaching the Top Hat with a couple sheet metal screws or bolts.  Looks like it might have just pulled off the old screws.  Might be able to reattach with new slightly larger fasteners?

Yes, those screws you mentioned sheered off. I could probably extract and tap the holes but it's their problem and I'm going to suggest they just throw parts at it instead of sending someone all the way up from Phoenix

I bet Foretravel still has it in stock. They had the top hat for the same mirror system in stock last year.

I don't recall the price for the one part, as I bought multiple items at one time while in Nac.

New top hat OR existing top hat mirror... Both have to be attached, so stay with what you have, as it matches, and get it reattached.

The glass guys could screw up something that you will do correctly.

Drill new holes, attached with bolts.

90 percent sure Foretravel was less, and they had them in stock last year.

Edit, found the receipt. $198

Would be afraid to ask what the entire chrome mirror would cost. They look expensive, enough that I keep a thick layer of hard shell wax on mine so bug guts wont leave a lasting mark.

No problem Peter. About 1500.00 will get you back whole again. Don't know that to be a fact, just cheering up Peter.

I was super lucky and found a new old stock one on ebay (whole mirror assembly, no top hat) for $150 last year. I needed one for the accident rebuild.
