H9 Led bulbs for 2003 U295

Hello,

We are new full timers and purchased a 2003 U295 40' complete with crappy halogen headlights. The stock bulbs are H9 halogens and in speaking with Foretravel parts dept, we purchased H9 led replacement bulbs that are plug and play from Amazon. However, the connectors aren't compatible as the connectors on the new ones are wider than the stock connection. Anyone have any luck finding the correct led replacement bulbs? Added pictures of our coach and the connectors for reference.

Any help/guidance anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Are you any good with soldering or splicing? A new connector should solve the problem without finding a new or different bulb.

It appears as if the LED replacement bulbs you received weren't really H9 replacements. You may have received replacements for H11 bulbs. If you shop carefully you should be able to find LEDs with the correct H9 connectors.

Did the bulbs come in a set of four? If so, check the harnesses on all four. I bought a set of H9 bulbs and they also came with a 2nd set of different bulbs in the same box.

It's cheaper for them to pack multiple bulb types in one box knowing you'll only use half of what they send you, than maintain two different Amazon listings.

Hi Zach,
I used to be an electrician in another life so that idea isn't foreign to me. I'll consider doing that of I can't find the correct ones.

The bulbs came only with the bulbs I purchased but that is a great top to remember. Thanks for the info!

It seems that was the case even though the box read different. I'll definitely shop more carefully if I decide to return these and purchase another set.

Please understand that the LED replacement bulbs will be much brighter and possible less focused. Defused light on low beam that is directed into the eyes of your oncoming traffic needs to be controlled. Most replacement bulbs are not matched to your reflectors as well as they could be. Please just be aware and walk out if front of your coach at night to rate how irritating they are or not.

Check these: H9 led 5000K | eBay  I like 5000K for driving at night but most seem to be 6000-6500K. Order 4 so you don't get stuck if one burns out. The base runs hot so they have little fans in them.

Thanks to John44. I visited the Nilight site and purchased the led bulbs and they greatly improved our view for night driving. They aren't too bright for oncoming traffic either! On to replacing the remaining exterior lights work leds!
