Three gallons of water in the radiator plus a slug of Bars, and a new radiator cap. Went 200 miles today stayed 175-185 whole way.  Still an occasional spitz from the rad but not bad. I bought two containers of Bars and plenty water I'll check it again in the morning. Would it be ok to add the second container? It said for 4 gallons antifreeze.

Thanks everyone for all your help!
Yes.

Your cooling system is on the order of 10 gallons, so yes, if you're still losing coolant add the second can of Bars Leak.

What are the dosage recommendations?
Use 1 bottle for 6, 8 and 10 cylinder gas or diesel engines. For 3, 4 and 5 cylinder engines, use 1⁄2 of liquid and pellets. One bottle treats systems up to 4 gallons.
For larger systems use one bottle for every 3 gallons of cooling system capacity.
