Entry step and floor in front of passenger 1995 U320C SE

We picked up our new to us 1995 U320C SE in Florida in November..
We previously had a 1996 U280 and a 1995 U300.
We drove it home to Ohio and are getting it ready for our first trip in three weeks.
The entry step does not close when engine is started and the sliding floor in front of the passenger seat doesn't slide out when the power switch is pressed.
Any ideas on what we should check first?
Thanks , Susan

A valve for each on the back side of step well underneath.

Check the valves for air leaks, check that there is 12 v power to valve.

Also check that there is air pressure there. I think each valve has a regulator with a gauge on it so you can see if there is air pressure.
