Re: 90 ORED rear air bag removal Reply #1 – February 10, 2023, 01:51:24 pm Takes some doing. Spray the nuts. Unscrew the air lines. . Try to unscrew the fittings. If stuck, see if you can saw then off. Seems like that they are in a tight spot . These are 1. 1/8 and 1, 1/16 size. I poke another open end wrench into the box end to turn the nut . Re: 90 ORED rear air bag removal Reply #2 – February 15, 2023, 08:15:26 pm After closer inspection, it appears the top airline nuts are inaccessible due to hydraulic and fuel hoses right on top of the fitting on driver's side. I plan to cut the rubber off the top mount on the airbag and remove the bottom mount and rest of the airbag rubber. I can drill the air fitting out from the bottom and remove the tube with the nut on top off the mount. The nut and tube I can then pull out over the top of the mount and disconnect the plastic airline. Has anyone ever tried this or have any other suggestions? This is the only way I can see to get them out. Thanks for any suggestions and help. Quote Selected 1 Likes
Re: 90 ORED rear air bag removal Reply #3 – February 15, 2023, 09:41:39 pm Yes , you can cut the bag horizontally and spin the bag while holding the nuts. Make sure that the small retainer bag bolt is removed if you have them . Quote Selected 1 Likes
