Sleeper sofa stability

Another newbie question. Our sleeper sofa seems unstable when folded out. It is the jackknife style. Our son extended the storage drawer which helped, but what are we missing?

Thanks,

I'd imagine something is out of adjustment... typically jackknife sleepers won't touch the drawer if it's left open...does the entire open assembly 'rock' back and forth?

Don't know if what I am thinking you have and what I had in th 97 are the same.

I agree with SFore, something is out of wack. I believe there are bolts that attach the mechanism to the couch. I am thinking that you are missing a few bolts there.

I'm in the last few days of installing a diesel heater under the sofa and have the seating part removed. The sofa should not touch the drawer at all in any position. Check the fasteners to make sure all are in place and also where the fold down mechanism contacts the sides of the wooden enclosure. It should be really solid in both the seating and bed positions. Glad to post photos add some clarity.

Yes it rocks.  I will investigate the mounting bolts.
