Radiator fan

My fan has separated or broken off the mounts.

You are talking about the engine cooling fan, correct?  Do you have 2 hydraulic radiator fans?

Unusual...don't recall ever hearing of that particular failure.  Does your coach have a lot of rust and corrosion on the underside?

Ernie that's not good to hear. Looking forward to knowing what's happening. Mounts? Loose mount bolts? Fan blade? Fan blade mount? Support structure mounted to radiator?

Had to cut it so I could get home.
It seems that the area that fastens to the motor hub failed after 228,000 miles. A trip to Keith is in the works.

The mounting bolts are secure. Keith said he has heard of a couple instances where this happened

Metal fatigue, perhaps due to fan blade imbalance?  Was there any damage to the radiator?

" rust and corrosion "
Every coach I have had- 15 so far, has had some rust. I don't buy hangar queens.

Ernie, glad you got a handle on it. Did you have to remove or tow? If you just removed I see a cutoff tool for the coach. How well did it cool with only one fans?

We arrived home Sunday afternoon. The coach did well. The last couple of hours, I suspect the other fan was working overtime. The water/tranny temps were at 204. Oil temp around 210. Keith said these are well in line.
