SeeLevel sensor strip mounting
I have a Seelevel kit sitting around for a few years waiting to be installed. I bought two of the kits for the extra sensor strips.
I have finally gotten around to installation.
I removed the panel that covers the black and gray tanks. No problem with the gray tank, plenty of unrestricted room to mount the strips.
The black tank may be a problem. There are multiple screw points permanently mounted to the tank along with the foil strips for the original system. I read that there can be no metal within an inch of the strips. I can remove the foil strips but I still have the metal screw points to deal with.
Another possible problem is there is not enough room to mount a strip and not have it make contact with the metal screw points, at least on the right side of the strip. There would be one spot that the screw point comes in contact with the strip by about a 1/2" on the right side only. It looks like the circuits are on the left side of the strip and are not contacting the left side.
I thought I would ask for advice before I started a conversion with Seelevel.
I have not removed the panel in the water/sewer bay to see if there is a different look to the black tank on the drivers side of the coach.
The fresh water tank looks like a removal of the 10gal hot water tank is required. There is an access hole in the next bay to get to the back of the hot water tank but I doubt I would be successful in trying to clean and mount a strip back there without the tank removal.
Advice from all that have been there is welcome.
