We have a 2003 U320. Has anyone put any type of a roof coating on their roof? any recommendations?

Don't believe the hype from the snake oil salesmen that any of them increases R-value to any degree.  The coating is much too thin.  There are claims of increased effective R value, that's just in comparison to a black pipe.  Anything white will have a higher effective R value.

A good white paint with non-skid additive is the recommended option if you go that way.

I painted ours with fiberglass epoxy paint from a internet marine supplier. I use the tip and roll method as the catalyst I used is harmful if inhaled by spraying. You need a helper to do it.

I HATE Dicor. It took weeks of work to get it all off and my hands will never be the same.  Down the road, it cracks and you can't tell where the water is going. Many people just put on another coat over the cracks but it gets thicker and bigger. Foretravel used Philips screws on the roof and that's good and the recessed slots are at an angle so you can dig the Dicor out. If any other fastener is used with slots that are perpendicular, it's going to be impossible to get the old Dicor out.

I used an RV roof mastic tape under everything removable on the roof, sealed the threads with Silicone II and then used stainless screws for everything. They are really inexpensive bulk on ebay. I also resealed the cap to body joint with more silicone and oval head stainless screws. I sealed the screw threads with silicone as I installed them. I didn't paint the stainless screws.

Some of the holes needed the next size screws so had extra boxes of screws ordered. All of my screws came from a supplier in New York/Brooklyn and were found on ebay.

Our coach had a non skid put on by Foretravel back in 2012.

I had some delamination on the roof between the A/C and the skylight in the shower along with other spider cracks throughout the roof.

Extreme ground down, all the cracks, re-fiberglass all the areas and removed the delamination in between the skylight in the shower and refiberglassed. There was no wood damage found.
They removed the rest of the coating that had been applied by Foretravel and re-painted the roof and added a Sandy texture to it.

No primer but really cleaned and dried the roof several times before applying no more than two gallons (from memory) on my 36'.  Had bought three because I used a roller thinking I would be be "more than generous" using a brush to fill in.  The paint evened out on application using the roller.  Also painted the AC shrouds.  Make sure and tape the front and sides so you have a straight line.

It was well worth the time and money and subsequent roof cleaning was easy.  There was no chipping or flaking in the two years since, before we sold the coach.
