Cummins Engine Campaigns

Tsonby had made a post on another forum wondering if their engine was up to date on firmware.  That got me looking and I went to Cummins Quickserve.  I had been in this before and had put my serial number it it but for some reason I had to enter it again. What I did find is I have a open campaign C2036 to replace the catalyst. and a TRP T2258  that was also open.  This one is for Turbo and VGT Actuator.  My turbo screams when at idle and I had it at Cummins before it was out of warranty and when they got done with it it still screamed.

I called to find out about the C2036, I was told they will first have to find the existing part number of the catalyst on my coach to verify it is one of the ones needing to be replaced. He said sometime the unit has to be removed in order to find the number. When I get home I am going to see if I can find it on the catalyst.  He said if I can not find I have to make an appointment, they will find the number. If it needs to be replaced they will order and I then will make a new appointment to have it installed. They then will have to updated the ecm calibration.

Thanks for cross posting Turbojack.

Interesting point.  Given our coaches are closely related builds as I recall, now I am wondering about this too.  I will have to do some checking what was "fixed" on my coach prior to owner ship.

I did call Foretravel to confirm all recalls had been addressed but have not checked on the Cummins yet.
