KC throttle control

we have a 1997 U270 Foretravel .  I have seen a lot of past posts on the KC throttle and have applied some ideas to trouble shoot our issue.  We were lucky in having the KC rebuilt a couple of years ago and all indications and tests appear to show it is still working well. So now we are trouble shooting a wiring issue.

Asking anyone who has found a wiring issue that effected the throttle system and can share what they learned and has any wiring diagrams please reply

What are the symptoms? I'm assuming it WAS working before Whatever took place concerning wiring. I have the wiring diagram for King Cruise. Can anyone explain why the filter needs to be removed?

When I had my King rebuilt by Steve Boler before he closed up shop, he indicated the King worked well with or without the Filter in place.
One of the Air Throttle conversion customers, he could not get the new TPS to work through the Filter.

Thank you for your replies.  Sorry I have been late checking your posts.  The motorhome repair has taken a back seat to work but we are back on the hunt for a solution. 
Thank you for the diagrams and trouble shooting algorithm.
 
When cruising down the highway we will suddenly lose foot pedal throttle control, re usually can reset it on the fly by turning off the engine placing bus in N and restarting engine to regain pedal control.  Last few time that did not work and we could not even shift it into N.
 
 Here is an update my son (mechanic) discovered that we did have a loss of power on one side of dash circuit board when driving- so now tracing wires looking for a loose or corroded wire.  Also he noted that the RPM/throttle fluctuates/bounces up and down just before we lose all throttle. 
We tested it with the cruise disconnected;  and when we lost pedal throttle control  we were able to reset it simply by letting off the pedal waiting a few seconds and then pushing pedal to the floor,  regain control. 
Son is thinking a power fluctuation from  pedal to controller is sending too many fluctuations to throttle controller disrupting it causing it to shut down.

Well, I wish you well. My King Control began behaving like yours and it finally quit working. I drove it 62 miles with a rope and then set up a more "permanent " temporary throttle. We hope to be home in a few days and then I'm sending mine off for repair. I intend to post a more in depth report in a few days.

Good luck to you as well.
Oh , we have been there and done that 7 years ago, driving thru the top of Gaspe, Quebec .  we replaced the sensor in foot pedal that time.
Later sent the the King Controller out to be checked and rebuilt.  It has been working well the last few years.

He's working on a complete overhaul process, currently repairing what's broke. I'm sending mine off next week.

I definitely hope he can do it.  This would be very welcome news for many of us.

My King Control arrived at Brent's this afternoon. Just received an email from him. It has a damaged connector and likely some damage to the board itself. He thinks he can fix it, just needs to get a plan together. In the photo I'm including you can see the damaged connector in the area I have circled.

I hope the repair is successful, and that Brent can come up with a process for refurbishing/repairing the King Control brain box.  It sucks having a critical component on your coach, that you know will eventually bite the dust, and no place exists where you can get it repaired.  Those of us with the Bendix cruise control system are in that same boat - we're rooting for you!  :thumbsup:

There were past problems with overheating/burnt at some connections in the King Control box.
