Aqua Hot dripping from thru-bulkhead drain hose

Just got back from driving around town to get everything circulated before leaving for a long trip in a few days.  When I got back, I found a 4-5" diameter puddle under the AH, coming from the drain tube that exits the basement.  Pulled the cover and see no fluid in the tray.  I do see a little fluid near the overflow line from the cap.  The overflow bottle is about 1/3 way between cold and hot.  I ran the AH a few nights ago and it got right to the hot line as expected.  It's 116* out, so it won't get all they way down to cold anyway.  Since the AH was not on, all the heat was being transferred from the engine coolant loop.

Question is what would leak out the drain tube but not be in the pan?  Tomorrow morning once it's as cool as it will get, I'll pull the cap and take a look.  Cap was new about 2 years ago.  Anything I should be looking for?

Keith after you take a look at the cap, pop the cover off and operate the Aqua hot and visually check the lines and pumps below and behind the blower

Scott, Keith called me shortly after my post.  He found the over flow hose leaking.  He removed the hose from the barb, cut an inch off and reconnected it.  Cheap fix.

Still a good suggestion on your post.

Yes, thanks to Rudy for pointing me in a few different directions that led to me discovering the cracked and leaking overflow hose.  The hose was so old apparently that once I cut it back an inch, it would split trying to get it on the overflow nipple.  Cut it back another inch, same thing.  Replaced the hose with new hose and operated the AH last night.  All worked as expected.

Thanks again for taking my call Rudy!
